As companies move to a more dispersed workforce, the cost of conducting important meetings in a face-to-face environment can be prohibitive. Travel, accommodation and lost time all contribute to the cost of conducting those meetings.

As a result of these economic pressures, many organizations have already adopted voice conferencing for holding meetings between geographically dispersed participants.
